Always mediate, never litigate
If disputes arise in a real estate transaction, mediate, do not litigate. The Southland Regional Association of Realtors' ground-breaking mediation program was designed to settle real estate-related disputes through the use of trained mediators – mediators who understand the intricacies of local residential real estate transactions.
The goal of the mediation program is to empower all participants in a dispute while avoiding the time, expense and emotional trauma of litigation.
Realtors work hard to avoid problems in every transaction, yet inevitably conflicts sometimes arise. When they do, mediation presents a quick, cost-effective alternative to litigation. In fact, it’s consistently reported that mediation resolves conflicts to the satisfaction of all parties in 90 percent of all disputes.
